What is the Go City New York Attraction Pass?
The Go City New York Attraction Pass — also known as The New York Pass® — is the unlimited version of Go City’s New York offering. Instead of picking a set number of attraction credits, you buy a number of consecutive days (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 or 10) and visit as many of the 100+ included attractions as you can fit in. One price, one pass, unlimited entries across some of the most expensive sightseeing in the world.
It’s built for the visitor who arrives in New York with a full itinerary and the energy to match — stacking an observation deck in the morning, a museum in the afternoon, and a harbour cruise in the evening without any per-visit cost adding up. The more you pack in, the more you save.
“A 3-day itinerary visiting 9 attractions would cost ~$375 individually. The 3-day Attraction Pass runs around $274. That’s over $100 saved before you’ve had your first New York bagel.”
Attraction Pass vs Explorer Pass: The Attraction Pass gives unlimited access over consecutive days — ideal if you want to see as much as possible in 2–4 packed days. The Explorer Pass gives a fixed number of credits over a flexible 30-day window — better for a relaxed stay where you want to pick your spots at your own pace. Not sure? See our full comparison guide.
What’s included
The Attraction Pass covers 100+ New York City experiences — a significantly larger pool than any credit-based pass. Below are consistent headliners. Always confirm the current lineup in the Go City app after purchase, as the attraction list can change.
Note on The Met: The Metropolitan Museum of Art is generally not included in the Attraction Pass — it’s one of the few major NYC museums that maintains independent admission. Always verify the current inclusion list in the Go City app after purchase before planning your itinerary around specific venues.
What’s not covered
- Subway, bus, or taxi fares
- Food and drinks at venues
- Gratuities
- Metropolitan Museum of Art (check app)
- Return visits to same attraction
- Special or temporary exhibitions
- Airport transfers
- Premium observation deck upgrades
Pricing — by duration
The per-day cost drops significantly on longer passes. The 3-day pass is widely regarded as the best-value option for most first-time visitors — enough time to cover the major highlights without rushing, and a low enough price that the savings are substantial even on a moderate itinerary.
| Duration | Adult (approx.) | Child 3–12 | Best for |

| 2 days | from $199 | from $149 | Weekend visits |

Validity — how consecutive days work
Before your first visit
Your pass is valid for 1 year from purchase before activation. Buy it well in advance without losing any time — the countdown only starts at your first attraction visit.
After activation — consecutive calendar days
This is the critical rule. Your pass counts consecutive calendar days — not 24-hour periods. If you activate at 4pm on a Monday with a 3-day pass, Day 1 is Monday, Day 2 is Tuesday, Day 3 is Wednesday — regardless of how late you started. Starting early on every day gets you the most from each calendar day.
Start early on every day. Because the pass counts calendar days (not hours), activating at midday costs you a half day of access. Most NYC attractions open at 9–10am. Arrive at your first venue as close to opening time as possible, every day of your pass.
One visit per attraction
Each attraction can only be visited once during your pass period, even on multi-day passes. You cannot revisit the same venue on a different day under the same pass.
When to visit — timing your New York days
With a consecutive-day pass, every hour of every day matters. Structure your time around New York’s rhythms to get the most from each calendar day.
How to use the pass
- Purchase online — choose your number of days at checkout. Your digital pass arrives instantly by email.
- Download the Go City app — iOS and Android. Your pass QR code lives here, alongside attraction info and booking links.
- Plan your days in advance — check current inclusions, opening hours, and reservation requirements. Build a rough daily itinerary around the attractions you most want to see.
- Book reservations immediately — for timed-entry attractions (ESB, Top of the Rock, Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Museum), reserve your slots through the app the moment your pass arrives.
- Start early every single day — the pass counts calendar days. An early start is the most important habit for getting full value.
- Scan to enter — show your QR code at each venue entrance for direct access.
How to maximise every day
Target 4–5 attractions per day
In a full day starting at 9am, you can comfortably visit 4–5 attractions with good neighbourhood planning. That’s the sweet spot — enough to feel productive without the exhaustion of trying to do 8 things in a day and enjoying none of them. Build in a lunch break and travel time between venues.
Plan by borough and neighbourhood
New York rewards geographical thinking. Midtown covers the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, MoMA, Radio City, and Intrepid — you could fill an entire day without leaving the area. Lower Manhattan handles the 9/11 Memorial, Statue of Liberty sailings, and Circle Line. Upper West Side is AMNH and a walk through Central Park. Structure each day around a zone.
“Visitors who travel by geography instead of attraction type can easily fit 5 things into a day. Those who criss-cross boroughs are lucky to manage 3.”
Use the Big Bus on Day 1
The Hop-On Hop-Off Big Bus covers the full NYC circuit and is included in the pass. Using it on your first day is the smartest orientation move you can make — you see the entire city, get a feel for distances, and identify the venues you want to return to on foot. Use lighter stops on the bus route, save the premium experiences for when you know your way around.
Protect your mornings for museums
AMNH, MoMA, and the Guggenheim all have dramatically lower crowd levels in the first 90 minutes after opening. Protect those morning slots for museums and use afternoons for outdoor activities and cruises. Observation decks are best at either 10am (quiet, good light) or sunset (spectacular, but competitive for bookings).
